iTEX XP technology opens up completely new opportunities in thermal and acoustic insulation, allowing the use of more insulating material in the same space. The iTEX XP insulation shell expands by up to 30% when it is heated for the first time and does not contract on cooling. By automatically adapting to the surface structure of the components being insulated, it not only provides thermal insulation but also improves noise absorption and self-damping.
Unlike other expanding fiber materials, iTEX XP is REACH compliant and contains no carcinogenic ceramic fibers whatsoever. What’s more, iTEX XP creates a perfect seal between the component and the insulation on expansion of the insulation shell.
